Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme present in almost all cells of the body. Essential in metabolic function, slowing the aging process, promoting athletic function, boosting brain repair and function, NAD+ is also considered the diamond standard in functional addiction medicine for alcohol and substance withdrawal symptoms. What Is Wegovy™ Weight Loss Treatment?
Wegovy is the most effective FDA-approved weight loss medication for long-term weight management. Mounjaro is approved only for diabetes and does not yet have that indication for the weight loss. However this medication is cheaper and during the trial show more weight loss than Wegony.
Wegovy is a once-weekly injectable prescription medication that can assist patients with long-term weight management. Wegovy™ (semaglutide) injection may be prescribed to adults whose BMI falls into the overweight (≥27 kg/m2) or obese (≥30 kg/m2) range AND who have at least one weight-related condition (e.g., high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, etc,.).
This treatment works to facilitate weight loss in several ways, including:
