ABOUT

Thoughtful psychiatric care informed by decades of clinical experience

Cedars Tower Mental Health is led by board-certified nurse practitioner Alina Kievsky. Her clinical background spans both medicine and mental health, allowing her to approach psychiatric evaluation with a broad and careful understanding of each patient’s overall health.

PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC

Alina Kievsky is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with decades of experience across clinical medicine and mental health care. Her work is grounded in a long career caring for patients in hospital systems, specialty practices, community clinics, and private practice settings throughout Los Angeles.

Alina began her medical career working in diagnostic medicine and cardiology, where she spent many years performing advanced testing and working closely with physicians to evaluate complex medical conditions. That experience shaped the careful, analytical approach she brings to mental health today. She is known for taking the time to understand the full clinical picture, recognizing that emotional wellbeing is often closely connected to medical history, life circumstances, and long term health patterns.

Over the course of her career, Alina has worked with patients across all stages of life, managing both acute and chronic conditions while helping individuals and families navigate complicated health decisions. Her background in primary care and multidisciplinary medical environments gives her a broad perspective that informs her psychiatric work, allowing her to approach evaluation and treatment with both clinical depth and practical understanding.

Alina originally trained in medicine and nursing in Kyiv, Ukraine, graduating with highest honors before continuing her education and advanced nursing training in the United States. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing and completed advanced certification in psychiatric mental health, expanding her work to focus more deeply on mental health evaluation and care.

Colleagues and patients alike value Alina for her thoughtful clinical judgment, calm presence, and ability to approach complex situations with clarity and care. She believes that meaningful mental health care begins with careful listening, thorough evaluation, and a genuine commitment to understanding the individual behind the diagnosis.

Fluent in Russian and Ukrainian, Alina has long been involved in community and professional organizations focused on patient education and health advocacy. Her work continues to reflect the same guiding principle that has shaped her career from the beginning: providing careful, responsible care that patients can trust.
